How to Properly Wash Your Hair Topper to Keep It Fresh & Soft

Step 1: Pre-Comb to Prevent Tangles
Clip all built-in clasps shut. Gently comb strands starting from the tips and move up toward the lace base. This stops pulling and excess shedding during washing.
Step 2: Soak in Lukewarm Water
Fill a sink with lukewarm water; hot water ruins hair cuticles and melts synthetic fibers. Mix in a little sulfate-free shampoo, then fully submerge your topper for 3 to 5 minutes. Squeeze strands lightly to work suds through hair—never rub or scrub the fragile lace top.
Step 3: Rinse Out All Shampoo
