Step-by-Step Photo Guide
Lighting — This Is the Most Important Step
Take all photos indoors during the day using natural light only (near a window works great). Avoid flash, overhead artificial lighting, or direct sunlight, as these can distort your true hair color.
Photo 1 — Front View (45° Angle)
Hold your phone slightly above your head at a 45-degree angle and capture the front of your hair. This shows your hairline and overall color tone.
Photo 2 — Top View (Directly Above)
Hold your phone directly above your head (180°) and shoot straight down. This reveals your part, crown area, and any thinning zones.
Photo 3 — Side View (90° Angle)
Take a side shot from either ear at a 90-degree angle. This captures the texture and color along the sides of your hair.
Photo 4 — Back View (Mirror Reflection)
Stand with your back to a mirror and use your phone's front camera to capture the reflection of the back of your head. This helps us see the nape area and overall back color.
